About Me
I've spent five years working one-on-one with students, and I've seen it all in that time. Learning disabilities, school refusal, gifted kids yearning for more, kids doing their best to push through medical conditions — I've found ways to connect with all of them.
I bring a patient, compassionate, and outcome-oriented teaching style which students love, and I tailor my instruction and guidance around their specific learning needs. As a result of my decade-long career in the startup world, I can frequently answer the "when will we ever need this" question with real-world career applications, which I find students absolutely love.
I pride myself on my communication skills and my calendar discipline. I reach out proactively and arrive on time to our sessions so we can make the most of the time we have together.
But don't just take my word for it.
Jackson's teaching had a very meaningful impact on me. He taught me many different subjects, including science, and always made learning engaging and enjoyable. He was incredibly helpful, supportive, patient, and kind, especially when I didn't understand something. He took the time to explain concepts clearly and made sure I felt confident in my learning. After high school, I went on to attend Saint Mary's College of California, where I am now a senior graduating in May. I can confidently say that Jackson made a lasting impact on my education, and I highly recommend him as an educator.

Jackson made math come alive for my teenager! Expectations were communicated clearly, topics were covered comprehensively and tailored to my child's learning style. As parents, we felt we were well informed.
Parent
My son had Jackson as a one-on-one teacher, and he was by far his favorite tutor. Jackson ensured that he listened to my son, discussed his learning style, and worked with him to build his confidence and learning ability. Jackson was creative and "outside the box" in structuring his time with him, making learning fun and thought-provoking. Tutoring is a specialized skill, not a one-size-fits-all solution, and many tutors get it wrong. Jackson gets it right!

Jackson is one of my all time favorite teachers, due to his enthusiasm, vast knowledge, flexibility, and the way he tailored the coursework to meet my needs and interests. When I started having class with him, I was very anxious about school work. I had had a head injury and school work made me feel sick and I had to take lots of breaks. Jackson was very patient, compassionate and supportive… Above all, Jackson's classes were always interesting, and he made the course work engaging and fun! He got me so into biology that I started researching biological processes outside of school. I haven't had many teachers who could connect with me, engage me, and explain things so clearly, concisely, and creatively.
